A start with 32 owner-managed communications agencies – Standpunkt is one of them!
As of the 6th November 2008 there will be a new agency association: AIKA – Association of owner-managed communications agencies. AIKA sees itself as a premium agency and its members will have to meet strict quality guidelines. The new association unites advertising, PR, internet, media, event, design and other agencies. It will offer its members a broad range of services: Agency marketing, information exchange, quality certification, agency development and much more.
After one year of preparation, the inaugural meeting of the “Association of owner-managed communications agencies" takes place on the 6th November 2008 in Frankfurt attended by the owners of 32 agencies from all over Germany. One of them is Standpunkt Kommunikation GmbH from Dortmund. A further 30 agencies have already stated their interest in becoming a member.
One of AIKA's main tasks will be to act as a mouth piece for owner-managed agencies, to carry out lobby work and to promote successful entrepreneurship within the German communications sector. Owner-managed agencies work for well-known customers, have long-standing customer relationships and stand out with their approach to excellent quality.
AIKA, as a premium association, has tough requirements: Agencies can only become a member if they measure up to the defined quality criteria. AIKA membership is therefore also a symbol for quality. Customers will recognize: that if says "AIKA" on the label then one can expect quality. The quality assessment, which has to be reviewed at regular intervals, aims to give potential customers the certainty that they will receive a high degree of creativity, clear processes and quality results when choosing an AIKA agency.
AIKA agencies are led by entrepreneurs and focus on commitment and initiative - in clear contrast to large agency groups which are run by employees as well as small agencies and single service suppliers. AIKA agencies are not award hunters but are, at the same time, not cheapies either and don’t offer their services at dumping prices. AIKA agencies are based on entrepreneurship in the best sense: The owners engage themselves personally for the success of their customers, they invest in their employees, work in a professional manner and are innovative.
AIKA is a deliberately set up interdisciplinary. AIKA will support the exchange between the different types of agencies and the creation of interdisciplinary networks. Approaches have already been formulated during the planning phase.
Already another 30 agencies are interested in joining the association and the AIKA board plans growth to over 70 members by the end of 2009. The aim is to have 150 to 200 members within the next three to four years.
